Still I'm Sad - Rainbow

This is actually meant to be for the electric guitar, but I just wanted to have a place to save the notes.

Far Longer than Forever

I stumbled across the notes for this song by chance, and decided to write them down here to learn. Take from here. Note: This is just the chorus of the song.

Bad Romance - Lady Gaga

I had to. XD Anyway, this was by ear from here, and I'm sure there's mistakes, but I'm lazy and I don't really care about this song all that much, so posting it all the same. Please, some kind soul, fix my mistakes if you see them. XD

В Лунном Сияньи - Russian Traditional

The title roughly translates to 'In the Moonshine'. This is a song I dearly love, and for some reason I thought I couldn't play it on the tin whistle, but I'm glad to see I was wrong. It's a fairly simple song, and I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon. The notes were picked up by ear on the piano a few months ago, and I think they're right, but as usual, if you see a mistake, I'd love to have it corrected.

Ommadawn Tune - Mike Oldfield

This is the very first melody on the album. Picked up by ear and transposed to the only key that comfortably works on the tin whistle, but I'm not sure about a few parts, so there could be mistakes. And it's not quite all of it anyway, but...at least it comes to a conclusion, somewhat.

Ca Ira - French National Anthem

This is just the first measure of the French Anthem. It gets commonly repeated in the opera Ca Ira, and the only part of the anthem that I know. So I'm only putting this bit up for now, but if you want to learn the full thing, this piano tutorial is helpful.

Lullaby - Sympathy for Lady Vengeance Soundtrack

The soundtrack for the Korean movie Sympathy of Lady Vengeance is one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard, and this simple melody is both lovely and easy to play.

This is a wonderful Swedish melody I've grown to really love. I only know this first part, though, and if anyone can help me with the rest of it, that would be amazing.

About Me

This year I got a tin whistle for my birthday, and over the last several months, I've slowly been trying to learn new songs. Unfortunately, a lot of the songs I love and want to learn are hard to find online. There are a few websites that give tabs, among those the simply wonderful MartinDardis.com, but other than those few resources, there's not much for the tin whistle. Sometimes you can find the sheet music for various songs, and that's nice, but sometimes even that's not easy. And I'm awful slow at reading sheet music to begin with. So I've started making my own tabs for songs. Sometimes I'll create the visual tabs, and sometimes I'll just write out the notes, but in either case, I hope this will be helpful to other beginners like me who want to learn new songs without having to deal with sheet music.

Just a note, I'm not the most talented musical person, for all my wishes to the contrary, so a lot of the songs which I picked up by ear might have a few mistakes here and there. If you see any, PLEASE correct me. I'm here to learn, same as everyone else, and I'd love to have someone fix my mistakes.

I'm open to taking requests, but I have trouble learning songs by ear which I don't know very well, so...it might not always work. I'll be happy to give it a try, though.

Hope you find something useful here!
